The duo first met in Prague when they were introduced by Czech director Jan Hrebejk\, who wanted them to create music for his film 'Beauty in Trouble'. That led to the two collaborating for Glen's 2006 solo album\, 'The Swell Season\,' and then the FOX Searchlight film 'Once\,' which they acted in and whose soundtrack features their songs. This tour comes on the heels of their recent Grammy Nominations for Best Song for a Motion Picture and Best Compilation Soundtrack\, with the song\, 'Falling Slowly\,' nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
