Until recently\, little has been known about the mysterious sport - only that it required the athletes to be blindfolded and that\, eventually\, it was banned from their Olympics games. Now the rules for the ancient labyrinth have been rediscovered and\, for the first time in modern history\, the world will learn to play The Labyrinth again. You don’t need to be an athlete to master this lost sport - it mostly requires trust\, courage\, and collaboration. Come learn the sport and participate in a labyrinth race - or just come to watch. Once you’re initiated into the secrets of the human labyrinth\, the London Team will be virtually racing against other teams who are training in Wellington\, Buenos Aires\, Sao Paolo\, Zurich\, Madrid\, San Francisco\, and elsewhere. Please arrive at 1:00 pm so that we can warm up and get some practice in beforehand to be fully prepared for the six official races. Team Essef will be racing against other teams at the same time in Beijing\, London\, Salvador\, Tokyo\, and Wellington. GAME DAY INSTRUCTIONS We will be running each race (a 3-circuit labyrinth and a 7-circuit labyrinth) three times each. We will submit videos of our fastest time for each event. We will be synchronizing our races\, so we're running at these times: 23 August 2008 2:30 pm PDT 3-Circuit and 7-Circuit Labyrinth Finals. Three rounds each\; best time counts.
