We will meet at the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in South Deerfield\, MA on Sunday\, November 15 at 10am. This meetup is RAIN or SHINE! Magic Wings has a wonderful indoor butterfly conservatory\, where temperatures are in the 80's year round! It is home to not only many different types of butterflies\, but also many insects\, birds\, and amphibians. Handheld cameras and flash photography are allowed. Monopods and tripods will not be permitted. (They do offer photography groups an opportunity to use special equipment\, but only for a pre-scheduled 7-9am shoot... I figured this was too early for most of us!) Please take your time to enjoy the conservatory. They have a food court onsite. I suggest we each photograph at our own pace and head to the food court for lunch when we are done. The ride usually goes along the beach from the west wall of Brighton Marina to the King Alfred Centre and beyond (or vice versa)\, or as far as you and your bike can make it. Time and tide wait for no-one\, so if you can't make it to the start\, join the ride en route. The ride sets off 30 minutes after meeting\, so as to catch the lowest tide and the sunrise. If starting from the Marina\, the ride will probably pass under Brighton Pier another 30 minutes after that\, if you'd like to meet there. Following August 2007's Low Tide Naked Critical Mash-Up bike ride\, the event is clothing-optional\, and riders often go for a skinny-dip in the sea at the end of the ride. For evening rides\, participants can adjourn for drinks afterwards at The Neptune pub. Bring bikes\, waterproofs\, warm clothes\, towels and lights.
