Though they are hesitant to categorize their genre\, Protest the Hero can be described as punk with elements of pop and metal. They have won numerous awards for independent and alternative music in Canada.
      The Saint Alvia Cartel
      The Saint Alvia Cartel\, comprised of members who have attained previous success with other bands\, is a Juno-nominated punk-rock powerhouse that incorporates numerous other genres in their music. Named for Ernest Alvia 'Smokey' Smith\, the last living recipient of the Victoria Cross from the Second World War\, the band originated in Burlington\, ON.
