 This event\, featuring a performance by the Valley Concert Chorale of choral arrangements from well-known Gilbert and Sullivan operettas\, is the chorale's major fundraiser for the 2009-2010 season.  Featured operettas included HMS Pinafore\, Pirates of Penzance\, Mikado\, Iolanthe\, Yeoman of the Guard\, Ruddigore\, and Princess Ida.

 "This event is a fundraiser to help keep our fine chorus running\," says Bill Leach\, VCC's Board Vice President. In addition to offering intimate portraits of each participant\, the resulting 25-channel video installation forms a survey of fan culture and reflects on the complex threads of identification that often characterize the relationship between celebrities and their public. For this work\, the artist took famous film performances by actresses in the role of a mother and edited them into composite monologues\, creating an exploration of Hollywood 's representation of the maternal.

In 1984\, Irene Inman\, widow of Dr. Inman\, sold the property to a private developer\, but stipulated that the house be given to the City of Santa Clara and that the developer pay to move the house. This is the second of two museum houses in Santa Clara\, the other being the Harris-Lass House. The structure was built in 1913 and the architectural is classified as Craftsman Bungalow. It is a fine example of the Arts and Crafts movement and has a four-panel door with beveled glass lights and fine interior wood work. The museum houses the City's historical collection and features Santa Clara's artifacts.
