Since 1981\, students\, parents\, teachers and members of the community have been coming to show their support for the First Ladies\, Fillies\, Dollies and cheerleaders -- this year is no exception.
  
 "The handmade crafts are such an expression of the artist\," says curriculum AP secretary Lucille Halpern. "It's like an art gallery." 
  In the more than 11 years Halpern has been coming to the Arts and Crafts Show\, she says she's only missed one. The last two years she's won door prizes and hopes to win again this year. 
  "Every year the First Ladies work the event\," says Marry Ann Barrow\, spirit choreographer. "The money goes to choreography\, music\, costumes and t-shirts."
  
 Barrow has been working at Madison and helping with the event for 16 years now. She still gets excited about Santa and the free giveaways. Her favorite part of the show\, though\, is the fake purses. Not only is all the merchandise cute\, but it also helps her girls.
  "The spirit parents make all the profit\," Barrow said\, "but the money goes to the four spirit groups."
  The Arts and Crafts Show will be held Nov. 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the cafeteria and circle. Jewelry\, accessories\, ornaments\, Christmas gifts and more will be for sale. The spirit girls are excited to help run it and donate items to support their teams.
  
  "Its a wonderful place to see lots of crafts at one time\," Halpern said. "My favorite part is seeing all the people I know because there's a lot of parents that have a booth."    
 The Madison Spirit Groups will be hosting their 28th annual arts and crafts show this Saturday\, November 14 and Sunday\, November 15th in the JM cafeteria and circle. The time is from 10:00am-5:00pm. They have several items from homemade decorations\, to knock-off purses\, to candles\, to metal art. It is a great place to buy Christmas decorations and Christmas gifts.
