Friends since college\, Israel and Ryan have traveled many a mile to get where they are today-literally. in 2008 Israel and Ryan embarked on a West Coast bike tour. This wasn't a tour where they rode bikes\, and had a van hauling the equipment. They hauled everything on their bikes. No gas. 100% leg powered. Playing little towns that don't often get shows by "touring bands" - they were able to share their brand of music with people who weren't particularly familiar with indie-pop\, or indie anything. But they found that heartfelt lyrics and beautiful music appeal to just about everyone. In fact\, they completely sold out of their EPs. They returned to Portland anxious to complete their first full-length album. The long road to this album has paid off in spades.

Horizons for Homeless Children is seeking volunteers to interact and play with over 500 children living in over 50 family\, teen parent\, and domestic violence shelters in Greater Boston. A commitment of 2 hours a week for 6 months is required. We offer daytime and evening shifts\, so there is likely to be one that fits your schedule. It is a rewarding and fun experience for everyone involved. The next training session will be on Monday November 17 and Tuesday November 18 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Both nights are required. Did you know: at least 1 out of every 24 Massachusetts children is homeless at any given time? An even higher proportion of Massachusetts children experience homelessness over the course of a year\, for a total of at least 82\,000 homeless children and youth in the Bay State. Horizons for Homeless Children is seeking volunteers to interact and play with over 500 children living in over 50 family\, teen parent\, and domestic violence shelters in Greater Boston. A commitment of 2 hours a week for 6 months is required. We offer daytime and evening shifts\, so there is likely to be one that fits your schedule. It is a rewarding and fun experience for everyone involved. The next training session will be on Monday November 17 and Tuesday November 18 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Both nights are required.
