Eén aan het beste eParticipatie initiatief uit de samenleving en één aan het beste eParticipatie-initiatief van een overheid. De eParticipatie Award 2009 is een erkenning voor de getoonde inzet van burgers en overheden om digitale middelen voor burgerbetrokkenheid te gebruiken.
 De winnaars zullen tijdens de bijeenkomst ook via Twitter bekend gemaakt worden @Burgerlink #ePAW09.
 Na de uitreiking van de eParticipatie Award gaan de aanwezigen met iemand van de Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst en een opiniemaker in debat over hoe ambtenaren omgaan met web 2.0. Wat zijn de gevolgen en de consequenties van web 2.0? Wat kan en mag je wel als ambtenaar\, wat mag je niet. De gespreksleiding is in handen van Erwin Blom.
