Chromolithography was the predominant means of color printing in nineteenth-century America. This sophisticated printmaking technique resulted in brilliantly colored images that were enormously popular with the American public. This exhibition surveys Boston's contribution to chromo-mania with works by William Sharp, J. H. Bufford, Louis Prang, and many others.
