Stephanie’s sultry, moody folk, is intertwined with pop, jazz and soul. Between founding Voices for Silent Disasters, Portland’s first humanitarian concert series which raised money for Mercy Corps in Uganda, her popularity in Dirty Martini, and her children’s cd Oy Baby, Stephanie is a Portland legend. She’ll be joined by bandmates Keith Schreiner of Dahlia, and James Beaton of Storm and the Balls.

Five solo albums, two collaborative albums, three nationally-acclaimed kids records, several film and stage roles and the production of a wildly successful concert series to benefit refugees in Uganda- Yes, trying to pin down Stephanie Schneiderman to any one genre, talent or discipline is next to impossible. One thing is clear however, Stephanie Schneiderman has firmly established herself as one of the most diversely talented artists in the Pacific Northwest.

Right now, the region is buzzing as Stephanie’s most recent success has been heard round the world. In October and November of 2007 Stephanie founded and produced from top to bottom Voices for Silent Disasters (www.voicesforsilentdisasters.com). Portland’s first humanitarian concert series, Voices for Silent Disasters featured 37 artists through 10 concerts at 3 venues across the River City. She raised $60,000 for Mercy Corps in Uganda and was even invited to visitand meet with communities in the war-torn region of Pader, where Mercy Corps' Ugandan headquarters are located. She is planning a similar event in 2008.

Stephanie’s innovative songwriting, captivating vocals and eclectic repertoire were making news on their own long before Dirty Martini’s inception. Since her solo career began with a coveted spot in the 1999 Lilith Fair, Stephanie has earned extensive NW radio play, a devout following and multiple appearances with some the nations top touring acts- including Hall and Oates, Five For Fighting,Chicago and Ben Taylor. She has released five recordings- Stephanie Schneiderman (1999), Unbelievably Unbroken (2001), Fall Sessions EP (2001), Touch Down (2004) and Live at Kung Fu Bakery (2005). The most recent of which is arguably her best work yet.
