Concert for peace -
Come hear this musical exploration of Peace for Veterans Day performed by members and friends of Glenview Community Church.
The concert, which will feature a variety of ensembles and styles, is part of the Simple Gift Concert Series of the Glenview Community Church. There will be a free will offering to benefit Hands of Peace (http://hands-of-peace.org/) The performers will be:
A vocal ensemble of GCC members, with Tricia Melzer-Swaydrak, soprano;
Gary Wendt, organ and piano;
Katherine Hughes, violin;
Kevin Kizer, saxophones and clarinet;
Jade Maze, vocals;
Peter Saltzman, piano and keyboard;
Charles Kirchen, bass;
Neal Wehman, drums;
Carol Kalvonjian, violin;
Benton Wedge, viola; and
Matthew Agnew, ‘cello.

The music will range from traditional to contemporary, and will include the “Finale” from
Peter Saltzman’s “Kabbalah Blues/Quantum Funk”.

Glenview Community Church is handicap accessible and has plenty of free onsite parking. It is 3 blocks west of the Glenview Metra North train station. The Glenview Community Church is an open and affirming congregation.
