A Celebration of Color: Exhibit Opening
Friday November 30, 2012 at 5:30pm
Sterling Art and Frame Gallery

Richmond, Virginia Get Directions
Three local artists are partnering with a new gallery in Richmond to create a "Celebration of Color". The opening of the exhibit will take place at the Sterling Art and Frame Gallery on November 30th.

The artists, Marjorie Perrin, Peggy Larmore and Mark Hierholzer use impressionistic color in their works and provide a unique approach to representational painting.

"We are very excited to host this show at our beautiful new facility on West Leigh Street here in the West End," says Deedi Matzuk. "This will be our first show and the beginning of what we hope will be a regular occurrence," says owner Tom Wise.

"I'm growing in my appreciation of the color in our world and learning to
bring it into my work in a new way," says Peggy Larmore.

"Color like this has always been inside me," says Mark Hierholzer. "In impressionism I have found a home. To be in a show with two other impressionists is a great opportunity to celebrate this approach."

"I am excited by color and light. My goal is to respond to what I see as if looking at it for the first time and to convey its essence," says Marjorie Perrin.

The opening reception will take place from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 30th and the public is invited. Sterling Art and Frame is located at 5001 West Leigh Street, just off Broad Street and west of Staples Mill Road.
