Cultured Vegetables: How and Why to Make Them
Thursday January 24, 2013 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm
Raw cultured vegetables have been around for thousands of years, but we’ve never needed them more than we do today. Rich in lactobacilli – a naturally occurring probiotic – cultured vegetables also provide an amazing variety of friendly bacteria, enzymes, fiber and B-vitamins, making them an ideal food to consume with every meal. Eating cultured vegetables on a regular basis is one of the best ways to improve digestion, which in turn has a positive effect on your immune system.

In this hands-on class, each person will make a jar of cultured vegetables using beets, turnips & cabbage to take home with them. Attendees will also receive recipes and instructions on how to make their own blends at home.

Cost $10. Pre-registration is required.

Contact Jenny Boice at jenny@jennyboice.com or 502-314-4584 to RSVP or for more details.
