Emerging Metropolis: New York Jews in the Age of Immigration, 1840-1920

With co-authors Annie Polland, Tenement Museum, and Daniel Soyer, Fordham University

In this volume of the highly praised series, City of Promises: A History of the Jews of New York, Polland and Soyer explore the myriad ways the city shaped its Jews and how Jews, in turn, shaped the city.

Free with suggested donation

Tickets will be available at the box office on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 11 A.M. on the day of the program. Separate ticket required for Museum admission.

Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Emma Lazarus: Poet of Exiles, closing this month. Tour the exhibition at 12 P.M. Pre-registration for the tour is suggested. Call 646.437.4202.
