Washington Legal Foundation is hosting this one-hour, web-only program as part of its educational Web Seminar series. With government and private False Claims Act cases on the rise and congressional investigators delving into their business dealings, government contractors are in legal and regulatory crosshairs like never before. Thanks to a recently passed law and more pending regulations, contractors face even more risk and exposure, such as requirements that businesses timely report on suspected legal violations such as overbilling. Two leading government contracting attorneys, Richard Rector and James McCullough, will explain how a new federal law and pending regulatory changes will affect contractors’ corporate compliance efforts and subject them to possible suspension or debarment from government business. They will also examine how these changes heighten private litigation risks.
