Most scientists agree that we are likely to see four to seven times as much new science and innovation in the next 25 years than in the previous twenty five. How will the U.S. Government cope with this coming age of innovation, especially as it battles a war on terrorism and efforts to remain globally competitive with China and India? The challenges that America faces in the generation are vast and elected officials on both sides of the aisle aren’t talking about them this election cycle. What are those issues? Can technology help foster a new citizen grassroots movement to address all these challenges? Join David Kralik, managing director of the silicon valley office for former speaker of the house, Newt Gingrich as we explore these topics and more.

Speaker Biography:

Mr. Kralik is manager of the Silicon Valley Office Director of Internet Strategy at American Solutions, founded by former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich. In that role, he is the chief scout for Gingrich, exploring and reporting back about new technology and finding ways technology can migrate government and politics into the 21st century.
Described recently by the Washington Post as, “A cross between political junkie and tech geek.” he has been involved in online political advocacy since 1997 when he set up one of the first College Republican web sites in the country and led the national effort to build out the collegiate online effort. He is often sought after as an authority in online advocacy, blogging, and traffic building and has offered strategic counsel to organizations and corporations of all sizes. Most recently, he was Manager of Internet Programs at the National Association of Manufacturers where he led the association to adopt blogging, podcasting, and a variety of other Web 2.0 technologies that resulted in the association being widely recognized as a leader in e-communication among the trade association community.
