London Geek Nights: Why do projects suck?
Monday October 13, 2008 from 6:00pm - 10:00pm
ThoughtWorks UK Office
Berkshire House, 168-173 High Holborn
London, United Kingdom, England WC1V 7AA Get Directions
We believe that projects should be fun, rewarding experiences.

If that makes you snort with disbelief or shake your head at how mad and deluded we are then maybe you should come to our OpenSpace style event.

We think that for every cause of project suckage there is a solution, more than this that someone has already found the solution. All we need to do to invoke projagasm is get all the solutions together with all the problems.

Alternatively we might just stand round eating pizza, having a drink and moaning. You just cannot tell with these things...

Unlike some of our tech heavy Geek Nights this event also needs an injection of the soft skill solutions so we would incourage project managers, business analysts and, hell, the users as well to come along and share their experiences of what makes projects suck.

Having your client go suddenly broke certainly makes a project suck ;-)

Think I will give geek night a miss this time round,
- but I see 8 'friends' have said they are interested in going.
I do recommend these events, I just need a quiet week :-)
