The Museum's second floor houses The Frazier's permanent collection of arms and related artifacts made between the 16th and 20th century, mostly of American origin. At no other museum in the world will you find Daniel Boone's family Bible, the bow attributed to Geronimo, the ivory-handled pistols of General George Armstrong Custer and the "Big Stick" of President Theodore Roosevelt. Here, you can learn about historic periods: Early North American settlements, The American Revolution, The Civil War, Louisville as a riverfront city, The settlement of land west of the Mississippi River, The era of the Pony Express and the Cowboy. Here too, are exhibits on special topics, such as recreational shooting, the manufacture of arms, famous American gunmakers, and Theodore Roosevelt as sportsman, conservationist and military hero.
