José Davila,auteur/compositeur qui opte pour une approche de composition minimaliste et introspective. De style folk rock, il joue alliant la spontanéité du jazz à la profondeur de la musique latino américaine. Son premier album, ‘Pequeña soledad’, se veut un tableau illustrant le départ de sa ville natal (Lima, Pérou) pour Montréal, ville qui imprègne sa musique. Ses chansons se veulent une illustration troublante d'une mélancolie que nous essayons tous d'esquiver dans notre chemin. Pour la première fois au café Volver, José Davila vous propose de pénétrer dans sa petite solitude. Il vous recevra cette fois accompagné de son trio et vous invite à une soirée rythmée et touchante.

José Davila is a singer/song-writer with a minimalist and introspective approach to composition. His carefully crafted songs create a geometric space of melancholy with a plethora of textures and sounds. Natural born form Lima (Peru), this is his first concert in café Volver, and the second in Montreal, a city he tries to understand through his own music. Exploring the grounds of what in South America is known as “Rock en español”, a genre in its own right, and others genres as well, this promises to be an intimate evening mixed in with a lot of energy and rhythm, two ingredients necessary to make this a complete experience.
