Starting Something
Thursday November 20, 2008 from 11:00am - 4:00pm
Catalyst Internet Workspace
210 Carrall Street
Vancouver, Get Directions
Starting Something is now going to be a small, intimate workshop based session.

Bring your startup ideas and thoughts, and we'll do peer to peer review and feedback.
* executive summary: every single venture forum and angel group needs this as a starting point
* pitch presentation: get your powerpoint on
* tools and tricks: from getsatisfaction to Google Apps for Domains -- try and outsource as much as you can.
* events and connections: where are the next 6 events / places
* government programs: learn about SRED and IRAP on a high level, to decide whether you should follow up and apply (short answer: you should take advantage of BC's / Canada's strengths here)
* finding a cofounder and growing your team: let's share connections on finding people to grow our businesses

We'll cover whatever is of most use to people, with special guests in a few areas.

Who should attend: anyone with an idea (should I do a startup? what's a lifestyle business vs. a venture funded startup) or currently running a startup.

Catalyst Internet has offered their live / work space above the Irish Heather to use. Thanks, Evan!
