On February 21, One Etunim, the second in Dance Ireland’s MINUTES IN MOTION short dance film series, created by Morgann Runacre-Temple and Jessica Wright will première online at www.danceireland.ie/21.
Following the outstanding success of Trip Nós by Sibéal Davitt in January, One Etunim plays with the concept of time and how we make sense of the past from the viewpoint of the present. Filmed in one shot, but choreographed to be watched in reverse, One Etunim sees a lone male dancer frantically moving through an empty church where everyday tasks take twists and turns resulting in a strange and funny single-minute riff.
MINUTES IN MOTION is a programme of 12 one-minute dance films that have been commissioned by Dance Ireland as part of its DANCE IRELAND 21 anniversary year. The 12 commissioned films will be premiered on the Dance Ireland 21 website on the 21st of each month throughout 2013. The 12 dance artists who have created the dance films span the breadth of the Irish dance community: from experienced choreographers to new dancers, from those who specialise in film to those creating their first cinematic work.
Visit www.danceireland.ie/21 on January 21 - and the 21st of each month – to see the films.
