Dallas Public Library presents Second Cervantino Festival
Annual event celebrates Hispanic culture
(Dallas, TX, Sept. 19, 2006) –The Second Cervantino Festival will be held Saturday,
Oct. 7 at the Dallas Public Library, 1515 Young St. The festival celebrates Hispanic
culture and promotes the importance of reading in Spanish.
Activities include a presentation of literature and poetry by local professors and students,
as well as music, poetry readings, children’s stories and crafts. Refreshments will be
served. Programs will be at the Children’s Center located on the 2nd floor of the Central
library as well as the Dallas East/West rooms, from noon to 3 p.m.
“This is a family event and lots of fun,” said Multicultural Services Administrator Sergio
Pineda. “The adult program will be in Spanish, and the children’s program will be
bilingual.”
