A new initiative promoting cool roofs in Los Angeles commences with an exceptional conference on March 8, bringing together experts from national laboratories, energy and construction companies, government, utilities, and cool roof owners, to discuss cool roof technology and its far-reaching benefits to residents and businesses in Los Angeles County.

Reflective materials on rooftops offer a cost-efficient way to reduce the “heat island effect” effectively offsetting rising temperatures, while also lowering utility bills, energy use, and carbon output.
