Daniel Simpson is a technical support specialist for the Library of Congress’s braille and talking book programs and an access technology consultant to the Free Library of Philadelphia. He received a Fellowship in Literature from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and has published work in Prairie Schooner, The Cortland Review, and Hampden Sydney Poetry Review, among many others. He leads poetry workshops in schools and in his community with the hope of enlarging the number of people who discover that they can understand and fall in love with poetry. His essay “Line Breaks the Way I See Them” and four of his poems appear in in Beauty is a Verb: The New Poetry of Disability.
