Danny, a bellhop from a nearby hotel, arrives at the Bramson bungalow and quickly insinuates himself into the aged owner's affections. The owner's niece firmly believes she hates Dan, but as a matter of fact she is fascinated by him beyond measure. Dan is selfish and self-centered with no feelings and a vast imagination. Is he only acting for his own edification or is he actually a very dangerous psychopath?
