Electric Sheep Company CEO Sibley Verbeck and other staff members will be discussing the Metaverse Roadmap and Electric Sheep Company's role and activities in the roadmapping project in a multimedia presentation with live in-world demonstration. The Metaverse Roadmap (http://metaverseroadmap.org/) is a visioning and execution project sponsored by the Accelerating Change Foundation to develop a coherent path to the Internet dominated by 3D technology, social spaces and economies. The Electric Sheep Company is a DC-based interactive creation agency designing 3D sims and other products and services for Second Life. Electric Sheep Company's founder Sibley Verbeck was featured in Washington Techway Magazine as one of DC's top young technology executives and selected as one of MIT Technology Review's top 100 technology innovators worldwide under the age of 35 in 2003.

SECOND LIFE:
Second Life is a 3-D virtual world started in 2003 by San Francisco-based Linden Lab. Users can sign up for free and create avatars to represent themselves; then start exploring the 3D world, interacting with others and creating objects. Second Life currently has over 1 million user accounts with about half being active in the last 60 days. $7m USD worth of transactions is occurring in-world each month.
