CALLING ALL BOSTON AREA OBAMA SUPPORTERS, PARTICULARLY RESIDENTS OF EAST BOSTON! The annual Columbus Day Parade in Boston honors the explorer, Columbus and in recent years celebrates indigenous peoples as well. It alternates yearly between a North End location and East Boston, and this year it will be held in East Boston on Sunday, October 12th. Since the parade date is only 3 days before the Oct 15th deadline to register Massachusetts voters, we want to have a large presence and lots of volunteers with clipboards working the crowd. Details of start time and parade route are being sought and will be posted here soon. Please note: Jim Bowen from East Boston will be coordinating this event.
