The Fall Folk Music Weekend of the Folk Music Society of NY, Inc. is a great lineup—Lorraine and Bennett Hammond; Dan Berggren and Peggy Lynn; Evy Mayer; Lynn Noel and Dan Pearl. There are workshops for families and for adults, dances, concerts and people playing, singing, listening and just enjoying the music all around. It’s a family friendly weekend. Some of the workshops geared towards families are a sing around where nobody will be able to sit still; a paper bag mummers play; a “percussion is fun” session; and easy folk dancing for all ages.
