Although Saudi Arabia is in the midst of an unprecedented building boom, business there is not just about construction. The Kingdom is working hard to lay the foundation for continued prosperity in a post-petroleum world. The under-construction King Abdullah University (KAUST) -- a graduate research institution -- has the second largest endowment in the world and will focus on environmental, bioscience, materials science and computational studies. An Oregon company won the contract for KAUST's general and clean room air handling systems. Learn what types of products Saudi Arabia is looking for and how to bring your products to their attention.

Speaker:
Edward Burton, President, U.S.- Saudi Arabia Business Council
Prior to joining USSABC in 2006, Burton was responsible for all US Foreign Commercial Service (USFCS) operations in Saudi Arabia and oversees. He was appointed directly by former US Commerce Secretary Donald Evans to serve as the USFCS Regional Coordinator for the Iraq Reconstruction Regional Initiative. Prior to being assigned to Riyadh, Burton was the director of the US Export Assistance Center in Philadelphia and before that, he was the State of New Jersey’s international trade director.
