Moments in the History of Jazz: Celebrating Jimmy Heath’s 80th Birthday
Jimmy Heath is one of jazz’s most prolific and best-known heroes. Appearing often as a member of the world-traveling Heath Brothers Band, he is also featured on many of the most groundbreaking recordings in jazz history, including nine with Miles Davis, as well as numerous sessions with Clifford Brown, Milt Jackson, Duke Ellington and others. In this concert, he will play songs which represent some of the most significant developments in the evolution of jazz.

Jimmy Heath, tenor saxophone; Jeb Patton, piano; Paul Peress, drums; Ameen Saleem, bass
