The Best Design! is an informal, rapid-fire design presentation, where there will be a variety of speakers from creative fields - architecture, graphic design, landscape architecture, painting, sculpture, and beyond. The format is simple: each speaker has 20 Power Point slides, and just 20 seconds per slide, to present an idea. It could be about anything, from a specific building to a critique of deconstructionist paintings. Our theme is "The Best Design!" which leaves the topic wide open, so we are looking forward to some creative liberties.

The Best Design! will be held at the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti on Thursday October 23rd, starting at 6 PM. We have ten speakers, including Nawal Motawi, Adriaan Van Velden, Bob Beckley, Chris Bidlack, Mary Thiefels, and more. Afterward we hope people will mix and talk about design for a while. There will be a cash bar, though food options are limited. A similar event in Detroit drew 200+ people so come early and enjoy!
