Heidi Julavits with Seattle Book Salon
Tuesday November 14, 2006 at 7:00pm
The Big Picture
2505 First Avenue
Seattle, Washington WA Get Directions
For you LITERARY TYPES, we have a Seattle Magazine Book Salon Series event at the Big Picture in Belltown with the uber-talented Heidi Julavits. The Village Voice named her one of their “Writers on the Verge,” she is a founding editor of Believer, and her last two novels received much acclaim from the literary world. Her latest novel, THE USES OF ENCHANTMENT, is getting much attention (Vanity Fair, New York Times Magazine) as she once again dazzles readers with her literary talents in the telling of her story of a girl’s abduction and her return to the “real world.” Heidi is also a big supporter of 826 Seattle, Dave Eggers’ (A HEARTBREAKING WORK OF STAGGERING GENIUS) not for profit writing and tutoring centers for kids – and we are going to donate all the proceeds from the book sales at this event to 826 Seattle.
Join is for a cocktail party, on stage interview by Christopher Frizzelle, and book signing with Heidi Julavits on Tuesday, November 14 at 7pm at the Big Picture (2505 – 1st Avenue, Seattle, WA). The cost is $10/person and includes savory snacks and a no host bar. Copies of Heidi’s books will be available for purchase and signing. For tickets, go to www.seattlemag.com (click on the Seattle Book Salon banner at the top of the page) or for more information, call (206) 284-1750.

Tickets are available at the door but please RSVP to info@kimricketts.com.
