Open Innovation -
New Perspectives in the Context of
Information and Knowledge?

The 10th International Symposium for Information Science in
Cologne, Germany, will be held under the general topic Open
Innovation - New Perspectives in the Context of
Information and Knowledge? Openness as a general guideline
has many dimensions in its relation to innovative processes in
science and economy. New forms of cooperation and
collaboration have become a critical factor for the production
of information and knowledge. At the same time new models
for the utilization of knowledge evolve in reaction to social and
economic change.

At ISI 2007 such changes will be presented and discussed in
order to give an answer to the symposium's motto.
