We thought November’s trip would be on the move!
The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway looks like a good day out, some of you have been before, so any tips, help or corrections would be appreciated!
“Through tickets are available from the National Rail network to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, saving 25% off the cost of a KWVR Day Rover ticket and even greater savings for railcard holders. Through ticketing is available with any cheap day, standard day, saver or open return ticket to Keighley from any staffed station or from the conductor on the train if you start your journey at an unstaffed station.”
“To make the most of your visit, we recommend the purchase of a Day Rover or Full Line Return ticket.”
KWVR Day Rover: £14 (Adult) (but see above)
“This ticket offers unlimited travel for a whole day - allowing you to break your journey and travel about as you please.
Includes free entry to the award winning Museum Of Rail Travel and the Bahamas Loco Society 'Ingrow Loco' exhibition - both at Ingrow West Station.
Ideal for those wanting the complete day out.”
Trains from Leeds to Keighley run about every half hour.
We suggest the 10:19 from Leeds arriving at Keighley at 10:40 to catch the 11:00 KWVR diesel to Oxenhope ... the rest of the days trips backwards and forwards would be on a steam train with BUFFET and BAR!!!!
