SuperHappyDevHouse 1110
Saturday December 16, 2006 - Sunday December 17, 2006 from 1:00pm - 1:00am
SuperHappyFunHouse
2735 Skyfarm Drive
Hillsborough, California 94010 Get Directions

The wonderfully popular DevHouse is back and served up once again at Super Happy Fun House. SuperHappyDevHouse 14 will commence on Saturday, December 16th in Hillsborough. Hacking shall commence at 1pm with an open grill and continue until 1am with lots of caffeine and snacks!

Join us at our Hillsborough venue for our 14th non-marketing, non-conference, social event. Be here at 1pm with a laptop, your ideas, your own goodies to grill and some snacks or drinks to share and we'll start our hacking with a tasty BBQ.

We will once again be bringing constructive toys (Legos, K'nex, etc) for your creative pleasure. If you have any constructive toys you'd like to donate to the DevHouse, even wooden building blocks, do bring them with you!

Regular donations will of course be accepted and muchly appreciated. Thanks to all those that donated at previous events! :)

Be sure to tell your friends, as the Bay Area's #1 private productive party organization (3PO), DevHouse not only gives you an intimate venue to meet, share ideas and have fun with other developers, designers, and designer-developers... it provides you with a venue to sit down and get things done!

Don't work at Google? This is your 20% time - go work on that cool project that you've been itching to get out for the past few months. Do work for Google? Make that 20% time 40% time!

We're about rapid development, ad-hoc collaboration, and cross pollination. Whether you're a l33t hax0r, hardcore coder, or passionate designer, if you enjoy software and technology development, SuperHappyDevHouse was made with you in mind.

David Weekly, Jeff Lindsay, and Tom Harrison

The 14 in the description should be perceived as 1110.

I choose to perceive it as 016.

Because octal is just so useful...

Your negative characterization of octal notation saddens me. :< Octal is useful for things like Unix file masks and literal representations of memory addresses on architectures with 18 or 24-bit memory busses, such as IBM System/360. You see it all over the place in the Unix V6 source code.

I'm bringing my 286 lappy with my web 1.0 stickers on it. Gonna play the erotic version of Zork that no one's heard about ('cos i am hardcore like that).

I have mixed feelings about octal file modes, but that's pretty much the only modern use of octal!
