Davies Symphony Hall
201 Van Ness Avenue
San Francisco Bay Area, California 94102 Get Directions
Join us on World AIDS Day as we celebrate the chorus’ 30th Anniversary and mark World AIDS Day with an extravaganza at Davies Symphony Hall. Under the inspired baton of Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. Kathleen McGuire, San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus presents, with top-quality accompaniment courtesy of the Community Women's Orchestra, a concert that will delight, inspire and raise funds for Meals of Marin, Positive Resource Center and Under One Roof. Featuring: Holiday music celebrating our diverse traditions; the world premiere of New World Waking - Songs On The Road To Peace, inspired by John Lennon’s Piano; a special World AIDS Day Tribute introduced by three-time Academy Award nominee, Piper Laurie; a new recording of “Guardian Angels” by Kim Kuzma … AND … to make your spine tingle even more, Grammy and Tony award winning legend, Jennifer Holliday, who will be putting her heart and soul into “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” the Dreamgirls torch song that made her a household name.
