Sing-It-Yourself Messiah: Valley Concert Chorale Hosts Annual Event
Friday December 12, 2008 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Trinity Lutheran Church
1225 Hopyard Road
Pleasanton, California 94566 Get Directions
Valley Concert Chorale, the Tri-Valley's premier chorus, will host its third annual Sing-It-Yourself Messiah, at a new location and time, Friday, December 12, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1225 Hopyard Road, Pleasanton.

The community is invited to join in singing Part I of Handel's great choral masterpiece, also known as the Christmas portion of Messiah, which will conclude with a powerful rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus.

"This is the third year we are hosting the event for the community which has quickly become a holiday tradition for the region," says Valley Concert Chorale President Doris Slater. "Last year's event was a big success, drawing over 100 singers from around the Tri-Valley and beyond. It's great being able to offer this musical experience to the area, complete with professional soloists and accompaniment by our accompanist and internationally-known concert pianist Daniel Glover."

Singers are encouraged to bring their own copy of Messiah, though extra copies will be available to borrow. The event is also open to those who wish to listen to the performance.

Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door. Advance tickets may be ordered by calling (925) 866-4003, or by email to info@valleyconcertchorale.org.

$10.
