Artists and writers Kevin Colden (Fishtown hardcover graphic novel), Johnny Zito, Tony Trovarello (Black Cherry Bombshells)and Miss Lasko-Gross (Escape from 'Special') will be signing copies of their work on the next First Friday - December 5th at Brave New Worlds Comics in Old City.

'Fishtown' is inspired by real events that occurred in the Philadelphia neighborhood. Colden's story explores what led some teens to commit a heinous crime. 'Fishtown' is an absorbing read that compels the reader to explore a world they hope to never experience.
The 'Black Cherry Bombshells' is a webcomic from DC imprint Zuda Comics, created by Johnny Zito and Tony Trov and illustrated by Sacha Borisich. It centers on ultra-violent girl gangs fighting for survival in a world where every man on Earth has been mutated into a flesh-eating zombie

Escape From Special is the coming-of-age story of Melissa, who we first meet as a small child and depart from at the end of the book just before she enters high school. Lasko-Gross's art, with its detailed backgrounds and expressive, clean-line characters, exquisitely conveys the story's blend of humor (sometimes of the gross-out variety) and keenly observed insights.
