• Hunting and Gathering in the City (December 13, 2008)*
Join Open Kitchen for a culinary tour of Eastern Market, DC's oldest fresh food market, and learn how to hunt for the best cuts of meat from the area’s trusted butchers, fish for the freshest seafood, and gather the season’s finest produce. This tour is designed for the gourmets who want to cook and eat great food. We’ll meet at Peregrine Espresso (660 Pennsylvania Ave SE, Washington DC 20003) to get acquainted and establish everyone’s culinary preferences. Then, off we go on our quest for fabulous ingredients. We’ll supply thermal insulated bags so you can keep your purchases cool and fresh. We’ll close out this delightful day with lunch at French Bistro Montmartre.
