Social Media Club ('SMC') is being organized for the purpose of sharing best practices, establishing ethics and standards, and promoting media literacy around the emerging area of Social Media. This is the beginning of a global conversation about building an organization and a community where the many diverse groups of people who care about social media can come together to discover, connect, share, and learn.

Join SMC Co-Founder, Howard Greenstein, and meet your peers interested in Social Media, review some of the activities at the other Clubs, discuss goals for 2007, and cover any other topics suggested by the participants.

The event is FREE to attend, though you must pre-register at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/44600401 so we can prepare the space for your arrival.

Going forward, this group will plan to meet on a monthly basis at the Earthlink offices in downtown Atlanta. We are looking for volunteers to lead discussions, and for support from local businesses and/or individuals to cover drinks and snacks at the meetings.
