--Gay Days Anaheim -- the unofficial Gay Days at Disneyland! -- started in 1998, after Disneyland canceled the gay private nighttime parties they used to do. While the first event, which began with a basic email chain, brought in about 2,500 people to Disneyland, in 2006, nearly 30,000 GLBT folkand their friends and familiesturned the Happiest Place on Earth into the Gayest!

The event always happens the first weekend in October (October 5 - 7 this year!). Gay Days Anaheim is a "mix in," meaning gay people and straight people mingle together; the park is open to the general public. And we wear RED shirts to identify one another and show our numbers. Remember, this event isn't sponsored by Disney so if you call Disneyland asking for information about Gay Days, they will tell you that this is not a Disney event.
