October 31st Structural Insulated Panels : Jon Balmer, ACH Foam will introduce structural Insulated panels (SIPS) as a green alternative to traditional stick built framing for walls, roofs, and floor systems. SIPs, are a strong structural system consisting of Expanded Polystyrene insulation laminated to oriented strand board.. They offer unlimited design possibilities for both commercial and residential applications, and have been embraced by the Green building movement due to their stable R-value, recyclable components, and long term HVAC cost savings. Lunch will be provided. Attendees will receive 1 AIA credit hour.
