The Third Annual Music of Merced Festival shows off to the rest of the world what music is all about. Nationally & internationally known musicians show their stuff from Blues to Bluegrass to Beatles impersonators to Bagpipes to Barbershop to Brass Bands to Concert Bands to Dance Bands to Symphonic Orchestras to Chamber Music to Gospel to Jazz to Rock n' Roll to Reggae to Mariachi Bands--if you don't like what's playing come back in a half-hour and get your kicks. Meanwhile you can eat the great food provided by over 20 local restaurants, shop at clothing and sporting good stores--all at the festival. If you don't like what's on display, go out the gates to downtown Merced and shop--your wristband you received when you turned in your ticket, will get you back into the Festival--no problem. What an event! The Best of the West Music Fest!
