airplane noise Record Release Show
Saturday January 31, 2009 at 8:30pm
Wesley's Pub
1500 Hornberger Avenue
Roebling, New Jersey 08554 Get Directions
Back to Work Records is proud to announce the record release show for airplane noise’s self-titled, debut EP on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at 8:30 p.m. at Wesley’s Pub in Roebling, New Jersey (1500 Hornberger Avenue). The show will feature performances by airplane noise, the Unprofessionals, and the Mirror Orchid.

The inimitable airplane noise has crafted an album’s worth of quirky and earnest indie, power pop songs that convey a longing for love, sobriety, and even some shuteye. The five-song EP showcases the band’s playful, yet introspective lyrics and buoyant, yet plaintive vocals against a musical landscape filled with horns, keyboards, guitars, strings, ukuleles, and other various instrumentation.

Recorded throughout late 2007 and early 2008, the EP was self-produced at the band’s home studio in Clifton, New Jersey. The CDs were subsequently packaged in environmentally friendly eco packs--100% recyclable, PCW, 18 pt. chipboard--and come with two free stickers.

airplane noise features ex-basner members Warren Miller, vocals/guitar/harmonica/ukulele/keyboard, and Kevin Centofanti, bass/keyboard/vocals, with John McMonagle, keyboard/trombone/vocals, and Mike Mikowicz, drums/accordion/vocals.

Back to Work Records is a New Jersey-based independent record label established in 2006. Its roster includes airplane noise and the Mirror Orchid. The airplane noise EP is the label’s first release.
