Data Integration in the Life Sciences (DILS 2009)
Monday July 20, 2009 - Wednesday July 22, 2009 from 9:00am - 5:00pm
School of Computer Science, University of Manchester
Kilburn Building, Oxford Road
Manchester, England M13 9PL Get Directions
The life sciences are associated with a wide range of experimental methods and analysis techiques that increasingly must be used together to enable best use to be made of their results. However, the number and diversity of data resources, combined with the complexity and variable quality of their contents, presents significant challenges to existing information integration platforms. The DILS workshop series brings together researchers and developers from biology, medicine and computer science with a view to improving understanding of problems and techniques of relevance to life science data integration.
DILS 2009

DILS 2009 is the sixth in a workshop series that aims at fostering discussion, exchange, and innovation in research and development in the areas of data integration and data management for the life sciences. DILS 2004 in Leipzig, DILS 2005 in San Diego, DILS 2006 in Hinxton, DILS 2007 in Philadelphia, and DILS 2008 in Evry each attracted around 100 researchers from all over the world.
