Fresh Dance 2009
Thursday February 5, 2009 - Sunday February 8, 2009 from 8:00pm - 10:00pm
McKenna Theatre
1 Hawk Dr.
New Paltz, New York 12561 Get Directions
Fresh Dance will be performed on February 5, 6, 7, at 8:00 p.m. in McKenna Theatre at SUNY New Paltz. A matinee on Sunday, February 8 begins at 2:00 p.m.

With a focus on choreography and performance across a diverse spectrum of dance, Fresh Dance features an evening of original solo and ensemble works accompanied by an array of musical accompaniment. From February 5-8 students from the State University of New York at New Paltz, the New Paltz Ballet Theatre, members of the New Paltz Lifetime Learning Institute, and special guest Peter Kyle of Peter Kyle Dance, NYC, will dazzle the audience with a variety of dance styles and music from modern to performance art and aerial acrobatics.

This year’s two-hour production includes 18 dance pieces and involves close to 100 individuals in the capacity of performers, designers (costume and lighting), and a technical crew. A special addition to Fresh Dance this year is the participation of members of the New Paltz Lifetime Learning Institute - an organization providing opportunities for actively retired persons to share their love of learning in a setting that fosters the exchange of ideas and experiences.
