Save the date for Flickr 333, wherein we celebrate our 3rd birthday.
We'll be at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts - Grand Lobby, Galleries Building, 701 Mission Street @ 3rd Street, across the Gardens from the Metreon.
We're hosting a benefit auction at the event with all the proceeds going to Kids with Cameras. There's more information in the Flickr 333 group.
The YBCA Gallery building is #5 on this map. The map also has parking lots on it, which is helpful, and Bart/Muni is really close, too. That'll come in handy since its the day of Chinese New Year Parade.
Please note: Space is limited so we cannot guarantee entry once the space is full. Thanks, and see you there.
i am thinking i won't compete in the amazing http://upcoming.org/event/134524/ Chinese New Years Treasure Hunt adventure this time... just volunteer to set up and clean up for that... then i can get by here too.
say -- if there are 228 attendees will late comers even get in?
Unfortunately, I cannot attend as I am too far away in Toronto! I hope my photo gets some good bidding and will be auctioned for lotsa money for charity!
My first Flickr event! (Is there some kind of ritual for newbie-virgins like at Burning Man...? Should I be prepared to pull down my pants and kiss the dirt, or something like that...?)
Obviously there are more people listed than can possibly attend given the space considerations. Probably not worth driving for over an hour just to be turned away! :(
Have fun everyone, I had been planing and looking forward to attending, but I've come down with a nasty cold over night - will just have to look forward to the photos of the event instead. :-/
