Omali Yeshitela will present "One Africa! One Nation!" on March 19 at 12:00 p.m.
Omali Yeshitela, chairman of the African People's Socialist Party and leader of the Uhuru Movement, a group of organized under the principle of "African internationalism," will discuss his recent work, "One Africa! One Nation!" A collection of presentations by representatives of the African Socialist International organization, this work includes reports by Yeshitela as well as by Africans from Europe, the Caribbean, South America, and Africa, that expose the basis for poverty and suffering throughout the African world.
Yeshitela entered political life during the Civil Rights Movement. In 1972, he founded the African People's Socialist Party, a group that worked throughout the country to defend the interests of the black working class. Yeshitela continues to lead fronts of the Uhuru Movement today in cities throughout North America, Africa, Europe, and South America.
