About Veggie U

Veggie U, the CVI's hands-on educational program, has developed a curriculum to teach our fourth-graders good, healthy eating habits to combat lifetime diseases such as obesity and diabetes. Students work with a hands-on kit right in the classroom that includes segments on healthy soil, composting and nutrition; allowing the students to see, hear, taste, feel and fully experience the planting, growing and harvesting process. The program is currently taught in more than 625 classrooms in 21 states, but Veggie U needs your help to reach every fourth-grader in the country!"
