join other cyclists, skateboarders, and rollerbladers for a slow tour around a2's downtown to promote human-powered transportation. we cover main, liberty, state, washtenaw, huron, south university and almost all major side streets, obeying all traffic signals and signs while blocking rush hour automobile traffic.

CRITICAL MASS SONGWRITING CONTEST: One thing Ypsidixit likes about local bike activism group Critical Mass is that they're so darn lighthearted. Despite any dark mood, a note like the following can coax a smile even before coffee:

hello people of ann arbor,

we are holding a song-writing contest for CRITICAL MASS. SING!
it is not difficult to enter or win. SING!

the basic rules are, or should be:
1. a song
2. a catchy song
3. a brief catchy song with words (or without words...)
4. a memorable, easy melody on top of all the above
6. anything a group of people can sing about (bike/crit mass
related) whilst riding a bike or skateboard or rollerskates...

bring your song to the big ride on Friday, April 29th and we will
vote there. and then. (printed words might help the learn curve)

make it big. make it huge. SING! people, SING!

your prize? your song will be sung by a mass,

and heard by millions.

and we will SING! with pride.... and ambition.

... and maybe a lollipop, or cookie, or wheat grass.
